Blob Fish

The blobfish is a gelatinous mass with a density slightly less than that of the water it occupies. This helps it maintain buoyancy without expending energy on swimming.

Hovering just above the sea-floor, the blobfish gobbles edible matter that floats past it, this includes invertebrates like crabs and sea pens.

Blobfish are found in the deep waters off the coasts of mainland Australia and Tasmania,it is rarely seen by humans. Although they are still currently facing extinction due to deep-sea fishing or bottom trawling.
